Spot Market Cargo Van Driver

Position Overview

McWill Logistics is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Spot Market Cargo Van Driver based in or near Atlanta, Georgia, to handle spot-market, expedited, and variable freight assignments using a company-provided cargo van.

This is an on-call, variable-schedule position. Available loads will vary, and this position does not guarantee a minimum number of weekly loads or working hours.

Compensation

• • Paid per completed load
• • $100–$300 minimum pay per dispatched day
• • Paid weekly
• • McWill Logistics provides the cargo van, fuel, commercial insurance, maintenance, and approved tolls
• • Company-paid lodging and per diem for approved overnight assignments

Primary Responsibilities

• • Remain available during accepted on-call dispatch periods
• • Safely operate a company-provided cargo van
• • Pick up and deliver freight according to customer requirements
• • Review load details before accepting an assignment
• • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• • Properly load, secure, and protect cargo
• • Maintain communication with dispatch throughout each assignment
• • Report delays, damages, accidents, or delivery concerns immediately
• • Submit bills of lading, delivery photographs, signatures, and electronic proof of delivery
• • Keep the assigned vehicle clean and report maintenance concerns
• • Provide professional and courteous customer service
• • Follow company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations

Required Qualifications

• • At least 21 years old
• • Valid driver's license
• • Minimum of three years of licensed driving experience
• • Acceptable motor vehicle record
• • No DUI or reckless-driving conviction within the past five years
• • Able to pass drug screening
• • Eligible under commercial insurance requirements
• • Reliable transportation to the Atlanta reporting location
• • Able to safely lift and move freight weighing up to 50 pounds
• • Comfortable using GPS, smartphone applications, and electronic proof-of-delivery systems
• • Available for variable assignments, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, expedited deliveries, and occasional overnight trips
• • Previous cargo van, courier, expedited freight, delivery, or regional driving experience is not required, but preferred
